Features
Use HeightCam to estimate height of objects without really touching or going near to it. Great for photographers, journalists, tourists and all those who want to have a rough height estimation of buildings, trees, etc. Try the free Demo and see if it suits your use or not. The Demo is FULLY FUNCTIONAL - just that it would display some "demo messages" that would delay some time. Please help purchase a copy if you like it!
HeightCam uses Applied Trigonometry and ratio methods to calculate the estimated height.
The applied trigonometry method can calculate the height by taking two pictures of the object from different linear distances - just mainly enter how many steps you walked and limit/crop the 2 vertical edges of the 2 pictures taken. Then, HeightCam will estmate the height from the diffrence in distance and the difference in pixels of each pic that you cropped.
The ratio method simply compares 2 objects which are next to each other side by side where you have to know the height of one of them - the reference object. For example, a car parking next to a tree - HeightCam just lets you take one pic of both of them, enter the height of the car, limit the edges of the tree, limit the edges of the car and enter the height of the car. You get the estimated height of the tree.
